Sarah Stearn (she/her) is a dancer from Chicago, IL. She has a BFA in Dance from the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has played many roles in the Chicago dance
community since graduating in 2018. She’s written responses to works on Picture This Post and
the Performance Response Journal, curated with the J e l l o Performance Series, worked as a
producer at Elastic Arts, performed with local choreographers (most recently, kt williams), and
has created dance films of her own. Sarah especially loves taking dance and yoga classes; she
moves to find joy, release, and community. Currently, she resides in Florida with her cat Luna,
taking care of her grandmother and attending hip-hop and house dance classes at Motiv
Studios. She also enjoys riding her bike and baking delicious sweets from scratch.
