Recognizing that the body can inhabit many states of being Francesca Baron (she/her) is attracted to pushing the spectrum of kinetic movement. Intellectually she values complexity and connection; physically she values big sweeping movement, finding rigor to yield both an empowering and freeing sensation. She is enchanted about dance as a sustainable physical practice and delights in sharing her expertise with students, collaborators and communities. She has commissioned work for Kenyon College, Keene State College, Lindenwood University, College of Dupage, New Dances 2019 hosted by Danceworks Chicago + Thodos Dance Chicago, Esoteric Dance Project as well as presents independently across the Midwest and New England.

As a performer she has danced for Stilgo Co, Still Inspired, Project 606, Trifecta Dance Collective, Leverage Dance Theater and in works by Roderick George, Jenna Riegel, Angie Hauser + Bebe Miller, Becca Lemme, Ohad Nahrin and Lar Lubovitch.

Her creative kindling is composited by– attentional states, subtlety, soft-vigor and feeling. Francesca received her MFA in Choreography + Performance from Smith College and currently resides in Western Mass.
