Maddy (they/she) graduated from Ithaca College in NY with a B.S. in Cinema and Photography, and is an alum of the National Cinematic Society, DKA. For three years, they directed and edited semesterly promotional dance films for IC Unbound Dance Company, a student-run dance company that they also danced with. They have also co-written and directed two narrative short films. Through these experiences, they found their passion for dance filmmaking. Maddy is currently the Marketing Associate for the San Francisco Dance Film Festival, Production Associate for the Through Women's Eyes International Film Festival, and has also worked with the Portland Dance Film Fest and LA Dance Film Festival as a social media assistant and video editor. Maddy is passionate about increasing the accessibility and visibility of dance film, and aims to support the growth and strength of the dance film community through social media, and to continue making films that inspire conversation.
